Before Being Seen as the Villain

 

There are rules we are meant to follow

so that we may be honored among the greats

but those rules mean letting you die

so that the world can thrive.

If I refuse to follow the rules

I will never be seen as a hero

but if I do, I lose you.

So I think, just this once,

the rules can be ignored

and I can still be seen as great

and keep you at my side.
