Cleaning With the Thoughts of You

 

I am sorting through the relics of my past

and struggling to let go of the

things that connect me to you.

I am shuffling through papers

and not thinking of you at all

as I pile them into a box

that will be burned away by the end of the week.

I don't touch the pictures

I couldn't bare to sort through them.

Why She Can't Leave
