Slice of Heaven in the Hills

Escape into the hills with me
And we shall live in isolation.
Just us two and our herd of sheep.
We shall have a comfy cabin
And it will be our own slice of Heaven.

No more big city buildings.
No more gray walls and dull days.
Long days of laborious work
Will soon be long forgotten
And you shall never have a hellish day again.

The Spring will bring blooming flowers
And the trees shall blossom.
We will lay around in the sun
Doing nothing but staring out at the clouds
In our own private oasis of Heaven.

And in the blazing, bountiful Summer
We will feast on luscious plums and pretty peaches.
When the sun reaches an almost unbearable heat
The rain will lightly drizzle around us
In a near perfect imitation of Heaven.

Then Autumn will enter with a burst of color
And a chill shall slowly creep in
As we walk among the changing trees
Experiencing the colors of the universe
In our refuge we have turned into Heaven.

The Winter may freeze the land, but it will not touch us.
The beauty of the ice glistening in the sun Will fuel our love and keep our fire glowing
Even in the season of death, our love will flourish
Like Earth has transformed into Heaven.

Escape into the hills with me
And we shall live forever in perfection.
The world of people and business shall never touch us
It shall be just us and our herd of sheep
In our own recreation of Heaven.
