A Realization

 

I see you one day and I realize something

You are doing as you always do

As am I

I sit down with my mind turning 

At this sudden realization

We are not friends 

We were once long ago 

But now we are closer to strangers

Although it feels  more like enemies

We talk the same amount

But I have distanced myself 

Only talking about mundane things

And I see you one day and I realize something

About me and my feelings toward you 

for some reason I still care about you

And hope that you can be happy  

But I truly honestly hate you.

Why She Can't Leave
