Leaving the Shoe

 

I am not ready to leave the reality of my life

and enter into this full time fairy tale

on the chance that our dances

mean you love me.

So instead, I will leave an offering

a shoe that I can't be seen wearing

and a way for you to prove this is more than just lust.

If you can find me and still want the cinder covered girl

than I suppose I shall go with you

and transform from maid to queen.
